This is a Rongcheng fishing village where people and nature live in harmony. On the east of the village, on Mount Gu, an ancient beacon tower (also known as a smoke mound) was built to warn against enemies, hence the village's name, Yan Dunjiao. Because hundreds of swans come to roost and overwinter in the bay south of the village every year, people can almost have zero-distance contact with the swans, so the small fishing village has gained the reputation of "Swan Village".

Yan Dunjiao is located in Rongcheng City, Shandong Province, at the easternmost tip of the Shandong Peninsula. Thousands of miles of coastline connect bays and capes, with abundant marine resources such as fish, shrimp, shellfish, and seaweed. It belongs to a warm temperate monsoon humid climate zone and is the world's largest wintering ground for swans. The Rongcheng Swan National Nature Reserve has been established. From November to the following April, tens of thousands of swans from Siberia overwinter in the numerous lakes and bays along the Rongcheng coast. These bays and lakes are what people commonly call Rongcheng Swan Lake. The Yan Dunjiao Swan Lake is one of them.

Yan Dunjiao Swan Lake is a Yellow Sea bay located between the ancient smoke mound site on Mount Gu Island and the "China's No. 1 Sea Wonder," the mottled colored stone. It covers an area of less than one square kilometer. There is a small freshwater stream flowing into each side of the bay. The water in the bay is clear and gentle, with abundant fish, shrimp, and plankton, providing a suitable natural environment for swans. Therefore, every time the cold wind and snow arrive, groups of swans come here, swimming freely in the rippling bay, chasing the streams, singing loudly, soaring in the sky, or dancing gracefully, making people feel like they are in a fairyland, like a dream. The fishermen in the village treat the swans as good friends, everyone is close to the swans, and everyone protects the swans. These are scenes of swans taken by swan enthusiasts from all over the country.
